Restorative Dentistry
Restorative Dentistry involves any dental process which focuses on repairing or restoring damaged oral structures. FILLINGS - Fillings are dental restorative materials that are used to repair teeth damaged by decay or breakage. With the advent of the newest technologies in dental science, today's state-of-the-art restorative materials include resin composite materials, glass ionomers, and the latest bioactive materials. These materials are not only strong and durable but restore the look of natural teeth and are very aesthetically pleasing. CROWNS - If a tooth has suffered significant decay or fractures and is irreparable via fillings, patients may need dental crowns (or caps as they are sometimes referred). This “cap” is constructed to cover the entire tooth down to the gumline to protect it from further damage. BRIDGES - Bridges are fixed dental restorations used to replace missing teeth in an areas that have suffered a tooth extraction. The artificial tooth is joined to the adjacent teeth with a ceramic tooth replacement that fills the missing space.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of your smile. ZOOM IN-OFFICE TEETH WHITENING - Our in-office state-of-the-art bleaching system will make your teeth whiter and brighter. You may also use our take home bleaching system to achieve a brighter and whiter smile in a matter of days. VENEERS - We are able to fill gaps & chips, conceal stains, or adjust misshapen teeth with wonderful results using porcelain veneers. Veneers are natural in appearance and are a perfect alternative for patients wanting to make minor adjustments to the look and feel of their smile. Veneers are thin, custom-made shells made from tooth-colored materials (such as porcelain) designed to cover the front side of your teeth. BONDING - Sometimes, in the case of chipped or broken teeth, we may use bonding as the preferred restorative material for these repairs. Bonding is the process of recreating the missing portion of enamel by forming and bonding composite materials to the remaining tooth.
Implant Placement & Restoration
If teeth are extracted or missing for any reason, they can be replaced using dental implants. An implant is a new tooth made of titanium and porcelain that looks just like your natural tooth. It's composed of two main parts: One part is the titanium implant body that is inserted into the jawbone and takes the place of the missing root, and the second part is the tooth-colored porcelain crown that is cemented on top of the implant. In addition to tooth replacements, implants may be used to anchor dentures, which tend to shift when you talk or chew.
Oral Surgery
Oral surgeries are operations we perform on your teeth, gums, or jawbones. They include simple and complex tooth removal in cases where teeth cannot be saved. They also include jawbone augmentation procedures used to create adequate bone for implant placement, as well as the implant placement itself. WISDOM TOOTH REMOVAL - or wisdom tooth extraction — is a common oral surgery procedure. Dentists may recommend this treatment to preserve your oral health and protect your other teeth from possible issues in the future. Your wisdom teeth — also called third molars — are in the very back of your mouth.
Root Canal Treatment
Root canal therapy is needed when the pulp of a tooth is affected by decay or infection. This simple treatment can save your natural teeth and prevent the need for dental implants or bridges. Symptoms of the infection are generally acute dental pain or sensitivity to hot, cold or percussion. This infected pulp is removed, and the root canal system is thoroughly cleaned and filled.
TMJ/Joint & Muscle Pain
We have various modalities to treat head and neck pain. We offer oral splints or mouth guards (occlusal appliances) as well as Botox TMJ treatment which has proven effective at removing headaches due to TMJ disorder or teeth grinding and clenching.
Preventive Services
DENTAL CLEANING - For everyday maintenance, we recommend dental cleanings with a hygienist every 6 months! TREATMENT OF GUM DISEASE - If you are diagnosed with gum disease, your dentist will likely recommend a deep cleaning treatment. Commonly known as scaling and root planing, this process works to clean out plaque and bacteria stuck in the pockets between the gums and the teeth.
Management of Complex Conditions
With our awarding winning dental team, we make every effort to diagnose, treat & manage every patient's dental needs. We take extra care with our patients that have special needs and/or with complex medical conditions!
